The pallbearer crew
Pallbearers and staff for the day of the funeral: they carry the coffin and help in the hall and at the cemetery.
What the team does
- Carries the coffin out and along the route of the procession
- Accompanies the procession from the farewell to the cemetery
- Lowers the coffin into the grave and stays until it is closed
- Helps relatives and guests with practical matters
- Carries the wreaths in the procession, one person per wreath
- Works in formal uniform, in step and unobtrusively
What happens

The family decides how many: usually four or six, sometimes ten. If, say, five wreaths are carried, each wreath has its own bearer.

The team carries the coffin out and accompanies the procession.

They lower the coffin and stay until the grave is closed.
Pallbearer crew
Carrying the coffin out, bearing it along the route of the procession and lowering it into the grave take strength and coordination that should not be asked of the family on such a day. Our crew does that work: trained people in formal dress who act together and without drawing attention.
